Our Journey

Our Story

A place created to provide safe accommodation and practical support during difficult times.

How It Begun

14 years ago a dedicated healthcare professional took it upon himself to become a beacon of hope for all. He recognised the need for compassionate emergency accommodation in the city of Auckland's harsh landscape and committed himself to the Hindu Niwas cause.

The vision was simple: to create a safe haven for everyone, especially those facing crises, individuals in need of a temporary or long-term stay. Our journey has been guided by a commitment to care, support, and providing a home away from home for those in need.

Who We Help

Our support extends to:

  • Individuals in crisis, without access to traditional mental health or housing support.
  • People at risk of homelessness or living in unsafe conditions, such as on the streets or under bridges.
  • Those seeking transitional housing as they move toward permanent arrangements.
  • Anyone in need of a short-term or long-term stay during life transitions or emergencies.
